Christmas Haul! :)

Hello my lovelies! I realize it has been forever since I've blogged.. I know this may be a little late but hey better late than never right!? I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and new year! I will mostly just be sharing beauty related presents :) I am not trying to brag in any way about my presents!

Sooo I guess I'll jump right into this! Christmas Eve I went to my grandparents house and opened up presents from my moms side of the family! My grandma gave me the Too Faced 'A Few of my Favorite Things' palette, the Formula X System with 'Love Chemistry' and 'Crash', and the NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in the color Via Veneto. She also bought me three items from the MAC Divine Night collection. This included blushes in 'Lured to Love,' and 'Lavish Living.' She also gave me the 'Flair for Finery' lipstick. My aunt gave me the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette, and two O.P.I. nail lacquers in 'Gold Shatter' and 'Silver Shatter'. I also received new Nike tennis shoes, a Miss Me jacket, a new coat, gift cards to Sephora and Victorias Secret, and some other clothing items.

From my parents I got a Sephora brand concealer, Lush Honey Trap lip balm, and Bubblegum lip scrub and some candy in my stocking! I also was completely surprised with a NuMe Ionic Blow Dryer! My parents also gave me the Twenty-Two by Formula X, an Under Armour hoodie, and clothes! My twelve year old sister gave me the Too Faced 'Joy to the Girls' palette, hand sanitizer and lip gloss from B&BW, and baby lips. Another one of my grandmas surprised me with a beautiful rose gold Michael Kors watch, and some Kiko eyeshadows that she bought when she traveled to Italy! (I do not have a picture of the Twenty-Two because I did not save the packaging)
I am so incredibly grateful for everything that I received this Christmas, it was one of the best! I am so excited to play with all of these products and I hope you all got fun things to play with too! I would love to hear what you guys got for Christmas and if you would like any detailed reviews on anything that I got please let me know! And sorry about the bad quality photos, they were taken with my iPad :/

Makeup Wishlist!

Hi everyone! I'm soo sorry I haven't been posting lately! If you follow me on twitter, you know that I have been comletely overwhelmed with school work and cheerleading. So I thought I could get a few posts written while I had a day off for Labor Day, but I was wrong. I had homework, and shopped for a homecoming dress! Homecoming is in less than three weeks! It's super early for me this year, the 21st! :( Okay, I'm done with the excuses so I guess I will just show you all of the products that I have been lusting over.

First, Benefit's new primer. First of all, the packaging is beyond adorable! Benefit has some amazing packaging and this is just another example. I have watched Youtuber after Youtuber rave about this product and I would love to try it! It looks like glue and apparently holds makeup on like glue too.

Some more products that I would also love to own are the Lush Honey Trap Lip Balm, and Popcorn Lip Scrub. When I went into Lush, I had probably the best salesperson I've ever had in my life. She helped me find which mask was best for my skin, and was just so upbeat and friendly that I didn't want to leave! She never had us waiting. While in line to checkout, she had us do a lip treatment with these products, and my lips have never felt so smooth in my life! My lips were in heaven! I didn't buy them because I do have about a million lip balms, but when I run out, I will definitely haul myself to the nearest Lush.

I have also been dying to try some of Makeup Geek eyshdows and pigments! I have seen many people rave about these products as well. I really would love some to use for homecoming since I don't think I will be getting my makeup done this year. In particular I want the Afterglow, and Sweet Dreams pigments. Eyshadows that I really want are Creme Brulee, Cocoa Bear, Peach Smoothie and Latte. Jaclyn Hill created a look with the first three shadows mentioned, and a pigment that I would love to use as my eye look for homecoming.

Speaking of that pigment she used... The Balm Overshadow Sexpot in Work is Overrated. This color is so beautiful, and used with the Makeup Geek shadows, it's perfect. And I want it. Lol. Another product I would love from theBalm is the highly popular, Mary Loumanizer. I only have liquid highlighters so I would love to try this after all the hype about it.

Two more things, I know. The YSL Glossy Stain in Reckless Pink 110. I don't own any products from YSL and they just look so luxurious. And by luxurious I mean expensive. That is the only reason why I do not own this product, or any other YSL products for that matter. Ha!

And last but not least, it has returned! The Large Cherry Blossom Z Palette! I only own E.L.F. magnetic palettes, but this one is soo much bigger, and cuter! I would love to make more room in my collection by adding this to it.

Hope you didn't mind me babbling about what I think I need.. Haha I hope you all had a good Labor Day Weekend! :) Thanks for reading! Please comment what products you have been wanting lately!

Lush Mask of Magnaminty

Hello everyone! If you follow me on Instagram you've seen I have bought and been trying out Lush's Mask of Magnaminty. This mask does not need to be refrigerated which is why I bought it over one of the other ones. This mask is $12.95. It is supposed to pull dirt from your pores, exfoliate, calm redness, and soothe your skin. You use it once a week on your face or back to improve your skin! This is supposed to smell like peppermint, and it kind of does, but not strongly. It has a very odd smell. It has aduki beans in it to exfoliate your skin when you wash it off. It does wonders for my acne! I bought this when I was in Colorado because my skin was breaking out so badly! I guess from the altitude change or the flight, I don't really know. But I got it to calm my skin down and it worked wonders! I had two pimples and a rising one and after just one use they were almost gone and the rising one wasn't even there anymore! It starts to harden on your face after about 10 or 15 minutes and after that I wash it off! I am so happy that I added this to my skincare routine because it does so much good for my skin! I look forward to buying more Lush products and I hope you guys enjoyed this post! :)

Back To School Essentials!

Hi everyone! This post is obviously my back to school must haves! I go back to school in a few days unfortunately.. But, that means I have all my shopping done and I am ready! So this post can relate to girls through middle and high school! And maybe some of the stuff I talk about could be interesting to you too? I mean, I dunno.  Anyway, everyone, no matter what age is going to need a backpack. And let me tell you right now, I am OBSESSED with Vera Bradley. So of course, it was only right for me to get a Vera Bradley backpack. Mine is the Campus Backpack in Va Va Bloom. It's perfect. I love it so much and I never want to use another one! It is the perfect size and durable too. Last year was my first year of high school and my backpack ripped because of the amount of things I had to have with me. It was ridiculous! But that's besides the point. The point is, is that it is perfect size and durability. :)
So now I guess I will continue with the Vera Bradley and just show you the little notecards I purchased. It is the Study Buddy in Lola. I got these for finals, and anything you would need notecards for in school! It has a binder ring that opens so you can clip it on to things! I thought they were super cute and it comes with three separators to keep you organized! :)
So when you open the main compartment/pouch thing, there are some pockets! In it I keep my calculator, school ID, and phone with headphones! My ID is not in the picture because I haven't gotten it yet! Lol. It has a little opening on the top of the backpack to put your headphones through! It also has space for two pens/ pencils but I keep mine in a pencil case. The calculator I have is the only one I will ever use again. It is the TI-30XS. It helped me so much throughout Geometry and Algebra! It is the best calculator I've ever used! My friends even asked to borrow it when they were doing their homework! A good calculator is really important especially in high school!

So of course I have my pencil case!  I have a couple of mechanical pencils because wood pencils are absolutely boring! A few black, blue, and red pens, a highlighter, scissors, and an eraser! I have a Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake because I love that color and it's perfect for any type of makeup you're wearing! I also have a Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizer in Caribbean Escape, and Hand Cream in Carried Away.
So in the second pouch of my backpack I have my more beauty related items! I have my Sigma  F30 Large Powder Brush and my MUFE HD Powder for quick touch-ups throughout the day, because really, the brush is super soft and you never know when you're going to get oily! I also  have two minis of my favorite mascaras! I have Tarte's Lights Camera Lashes, and Benefit's They're Real. It's good to have mascara so you can touch up on your eyes throughout the day, or maybe you didn't have time for mascara when you slept through your alarm clock, who knows. And then there is another pouch for I think you know what, girls, you never know when you may leak unexpectedly, and it's nice to be prepared for those times ;)
It also has two pockets for holding cups on the side because, lets be honest, we all have those mornings when we may need a coffee, or two.

I don't have pictures for these items because they are already in my locker but I thought I would share with you what I keep in my lockerrrr. I have a shelf to put on the bottom so I can fit more things in that tiny space that they expect us to put all of our stuff in. I also have a magnetic organizer that I put on the side of my locker! In my locker I have the boring stuff, you know, folders, notebooks, expandable files, binders.. oh. And speaking of binders, I made the most adorable  Lilly Pulitzer Binder Covers  thanks to something I found on Pinterest! They turn a boring white binder into something cute! And they are monogrammed! Could they get any better? Anyways, I also like to keep some deodorant, mini hairspray, lotion, hair brush, and body spray handy in there too. Because girls tend to need these things. A lot. Also, Tide to-go is nice to have, especially when you spill things on yourself as much as I do. Hair ties and bobby pins. Especially if you play any sports or do anything after school. Last year at cheer practice there was ALWAYS someone who didn't have a hair tie. Or if your having a bad hair day and just need to but those puppies up. You can thank me later when you need one and find some in your locker. Food helps too, I like sweet and salty things, so I keep goldfish, fruit snacks and gum in there for when I start starving. But don't share your gum. Or else you won't have any left and you'll be stuck with goldfish breath allll day.  Good luck to everyone starting school this year and I hope you enjoyed this post! :)

Mini MAC Haul!

Hi lovelies! What would you get if you could go to MAC with  20% off?! I got this opportunity last week when I went to visit my aunt who works at a MAC counter! I was soo excited! I didn't get as much as I could've, because I still want to buy new shoes and clothes for back to school :) So, I bought three shadows in the colors  (From left to right in the picture) : Free to Be, Da Bling, and Sketch. I also bought the Haute & Naughty Lash mascara, and Cremesheen lipstick in Sunny Seoul.

So first I will talk about the mascara. It is not waterproof, but I don't find that an issue. Usually I tend to go for waterproof formulas but with this mascara you don't need it! It holds curl very well and definitely lengthens and adds volume to your lashes.  So it is one wand, and one formula. How it works is you twist the purple out and add volume and length to your top lashes. Then you untwist the pink one, and when you do this it reveals a less clumpy wand, to more individually define each lash, and add mascara to your lower lashes. The middle picture is the purple part, and is thicker, it collects more product than the pink part. In the picture to the right is the pink wand. When you untwist the pink part, it comes out of the purple wand to reveal a skinnier, less clumpy wand. This is kind of hard to explain so I will post a video on my instagram which is @ pricelyssbeautyblog.

The lipstick Sunny Seoul is a gorgeous pinky-coral color. It is a cremesheen, so I don't use a gloss with it, but of course you could if you wanted to! It is a really creamy formula. I love to wear this lipstick when I have neutral colors on my eyes such as the Naked Basics palette.
The left picture is with a flash and the right is without.

Last but not least we have the eyeshadows! I'm sorry I suck at swatching.. It's a work in progress! I don't do this very often but I got these shadows based off of a tutorial on YouTube. It was posted by +thebeautiverse and I fell in love... I don't know what it was about this look that I adored so much, but when I watched it I just knew I HAD to get those shadows! Okay so from top to bottom is Free to Be, Da Bling, and Sketch. Free to Be is a beautiful coral color, it isn't very pigmented though.. Da Bling is a gorgeous, shimmery, light pink. Its a beautiful color for all over the lid and has good pigmentation. Sketch.. Oh sketch. This is a BEAUTIFUL dark purple. It has a tad bit of shimmer to it, and has burgundy undertones. This color is soooo pigmented! I love it so much. I usually only use browns and purples on my eyes, and I can't believe I didn't buy this sooner. I love my Naked palettes and my Boudoir palette, but I thought it would be good to step out of my comfort zone, and this was an easy way to do it. Color on my eyes scares me, I love my neutrals. But I love this look, and it is perfect for an everyday eye. I cant wait to wear this to school!

MAC Pro Longwear Foundation Review

Hi! I have been trying out the MAC Pro Longwear foundation. When I was in New Jersey, I ran out of foundation! That's a first for me, haha. I was a little bit sun burnt on my face from being on the beach. (Yes, I used sunscreen ;).  So we went to MAC to get a new foundation. Now, I ALWAYS have problems with foundations and bronzers looking very orange on me. I don't know why foundations always look orange on me, but it drives me CRAZY. So I thought that MAC would match a foundation to my undertones and it wouldn't be orange. The worker at the MAC store said that I had pink undertones and matched me to the shade NW20. She said that this foundation would give me a semi-matte finish, and would last all day. I do agree that this foundation lasted all day, but didn't keep me very matte. This foundation had a pretty full coverage, and was a thicker consistency. I don't like this foundation with my F80 or any other kind of brush that buffs it into your skin because it can be very cakey. I like this with your typical foundation brush, you know, one that looks like a paint brush. It is best when just lightly patted onto your skin. I really like the pump on this foundation, because most MAC foundations don't have it. After about a week of using this foundation I noticed it wasn't matching to my skin very well anymore. In bright lighting, it looked like it matched fine, but in natural lighting, it looked like I had applied blush to my whole face. Ugh, I was soo disappointed. I can never have a foundation that perfectly matches to my skin tone. I am definitely taking this foundation back because it doesn't match me at all. I think I will try out a new foundation instead of repurchasing this one, because I really like to try out new foundations, and I no longer need a full coverage foundation. I am using my MUFE HD foundation right now, but I'm getting paler and paler and it isn't matching me. What foundation do you guys like for oily skin, and doesn't turn orange? Please leave your suggestions! I want a flawless finish and something that will last throughout a school day! :)

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush vs. Sigma F80

Helllooo lovelies! So, for the past week or two I have been trying out the very popular, Sigma Flat Top Kabuki. I have loved my Expert Face Brush, but saw so much rave about the F80, I figured it was worth a try! I know almost everyone has this brush, and I can't believe it took me this long to try it, but I'm so glad I finally did! So, here are the brushes next to each other. I thought this picture showed the differences the best.

Expert Face is on the left, and Flat Top Kabuki is on the right.
As you can see, both brushes are very, very dense. The Expert Face is very clearly smaller, so that takes it longer to apply your foundation all over your face. It does not take a very long time, but compared to the F80, it is a little bit longer. The Expert Face Brush can make your foundation  uneven. If you are in a hurry, and don't have time to fix brush strokes, or make sure that all your makeup is even, than you DEFINITELY need the Sigma F80. It perfectly buffs your foundation into your skin without getting cakey. It has never left any brush strokes, unlike the Expert Face, which leaves strokes every time. That is not a problem, if you have time to go over your foundation with a Beauty Blender. Personally, I believe that the F80 is worth the extra $10. Since I have gotten my F80, I have not reached for my Expert Face once. I like my Expert Face brush, but I love my Flat Top Kabuki. When I use my Flat Top Kabuki, my foundation looks airbrushed. When I use my Expert Face Brush, it is really streaky, and can get uneven. When I got my Expert Face Brush, it was the best brush that I had ever had. Now that I have my F80, I  barely give that brush a second thought. I still believe that it is a great brush for the price, but I just like my F80 waaayy more. If I had to make the decision over again, I would definitely get the Flat Top Kabuki! I thought I loved my Expert Face brush, until I got my Flat Top Kabuki.

I hope this helps with any decisions if you are stuck between them! Here is another picture.
